Sponsorship/Scholarship Opportunity

FCC understands that many individuals and small collectives may face financial challenges in accessing space for their work. The Sponsorship/Scholarship is intended to support those who may not have the resources to pay standard rental rates but whose services are crucial to the community.

Requirements:

  • Operating budgets of less than $25,000 annually

  • Limited access to funding or resources to cover space rental costs

  • A commitment to providing free or low-cost services for Black, Brown, Indigenous and immigrant communities

This sponsorship or scholarship option helps ensure that space at the Fruitvale Ancestral Sanctuary remains accessible to those with the greatest need, allowing them to continue their work in supporting marginalized communities.

  • Scholarships are available for individuals or small collectives who demonstrate financial need or are doing community-based healing, wellness, or cultural work aligned with our mission.

  • Please fill out the Scholarship Application Form.

  • This scholarship covers the full cost of a one-time space rental, including the $200 deposit. You will not be required to pay a deposit out of pocket.

    However, rental insurance is not included in the scholarship. You are still responsible for securing your own general liability insurance, which is required for all renters.

    We can share a list of low-cost options to help you get coverage.

  • We recommend applying at least 2 weeks in advance of your desired rental date to allow time for review and processing.

  • You’ll receive an email notification with details about your scholarship approval, next steps would be an alignment call, and key pick-up instructions.
